I received my Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where I studied with Brian Jones. After my Bachelors Degree, I completed a two year program focusing on drumset performance with Brian Thurgood at Grant MacEwan College, also in Edmonton. During these years I played as an extra with the Edmonton Symphony and spent four summers playing with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.

I then came to New Jersey to do my Master's at Rutgers, studying with William Moersch. During my Master's study, I met my wife, with whom I live in Edison, New Jersey, with our two daughters. These days I spend most of my time teaching and playing with several New Jersey orchestras.
